So let's start this thang off by being honest!
Waiting is sooooooo hard, right? I mean, we serve a God that can say a word and it'll happen. Yet he chooses to say the word, "WAIT!!" and that's what we have to do. Like why Jesus? Can we just move this train right along and move it fast -or nah? And unfortunately, most of the time the answer is, "Nah! You bout to get this wait time. Now wait by FAITH, without complaining."
Then we looking crazy. Asking God, "So you want me to wait? Then you want me to have FAITH? And not complain?" Lord Father Jesus, allow the Holy Spirit to bear some fruit of SELF CONTROL in my life!
So how do we wait by FAITH without complaining? (I don't know! So let me give you some scriptures chillleee! LOL)
First thing first, in order to wait, you must have complete TRUST in the one that you're waiting on, which is the Father, not man or yourself.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
Secondly chillee! We gone have to SEEK his face diligently during the waiting period so that we won't grow weary. But also seek his face so that we won't start seeking the ways of the world. Often times when we 'feel' like God is taking too long we begin to get anxious and start trying to figure things out on our own. Let's stop that, and instead seek him with all of our heart so that we can truly hear what we are to do in our season of waiting.
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13
Last but certainly not least...and this really isn't last either because we need to do this all the time and THAT'S PRAY!
-PRAY FOR WISDOM
-PRAY FOR DIRECTION
-PRAY FOR PROTECTION
-PRAY FOR STRENGTH TO WAIT
-PRAY FOR HELP WITH SELF CONTROL
-PRAY FOR GOD TO INCREASE YOUR FAITH AND TO HELP YOUR UNBELIEF
"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:12
So sis & bro, if you find yourself in the waiting season I hope that this helped you! Now I will leave you with this:
"Surely none who wait for you will be put to shame; but those who are faithless without cause will be disgraced." Psalm 25:3
Love Y'all
